South Carolina Census Notes:

Federal South Carolina census records are available to the public for 1790, 1800, 1810, 1820, 1830, 1840, 1850, 1860, 1870, 1880, 1900, 1910, 1920 and 1930.

1890 Federal South Carolina census records were destroyed by a warehouse fire in 1921, however the special schedule for Veterans and Widows did survive the fire and can be used as a census substitute.

South Carolina State Census Records: State census Enumerations were taken in 1829, 1839, 1868, 1869 and 1875.
